Denon DJ was the DJ specialist arm of the famed Japanese electronics company, Denon (a brand that came from a previous merger of Denki Onkyo and other brands). The brand is responsible for many "firsts" and innovations in the world of audio electronics. In 2002 Denon merged with Marantz to become D&M Holdings and more recently, in 2014 D&M Holdings was acquired by inMusic. Denon DJ specialises in producing high-end and innovative DJ equipment: controllers, mixers, interfaces and CD/media players. Popular products include the DS1 Serato Interface, MCX8000 and MC7000 high-end controllers and the VL12 turntable.
