Product Description
Lewitt MTP 940 CM
Handheld Condenser Microphone
Lewitt's MTP 940 CM heralds a new era of innovation and standards in the live performance microphone market. With an externally biased large-diaphragm capsule that captures vocals in a subtly detailed and authentic manner, the LCT 940 CM has impressive feedback resistance and reduces the unwanted breath, sibilance and handling noises, keeping your signal pure and untainted.
Boasting a dynamic range of 135dB - wider than any previously achieved in a live mic - the high headroom and Lewitt's own Direct Coupling circuit design, the MTP 940 is left with an unbeatable low self-noise level of only 9dB, meaning that although it has been designed for live situations, the MTP 940 is just as at home in the studio, creaiting a live atmosphere with a high degree of acoustic precision.
With 3-switchable polar patterns and a 3-step high-pass filter, the MTP 940 eclipses more than a few purebed studio microphones. The comprehensive feature sets allow for such applications as lead vocals and choirs to just singer and an acoustic instrument. The high-pass filter is able to directly effect the proximity effect, adjusting it for the best possible representation of the sound source. A 3-position, switchable preattenuation pad promises an ability to hand even the most explosive SPL environments and the LEDs, designed for ease of us in dark environments, can be turned off to eliminate distractions while on the stage.
Built with a durable and solid chassis that can easily handle the shocks and knocks of life on tour, the MTP 940 delivers upon it's unique set of features and diverse range of possible applications. For anyone who's ever wanted to capture a live atmosphere in the studio, or wanted studio quality audio on the stage, the MTP 940 CM is the only choice that need be considered.
